Welcome to ABC
Armenian British Connect (ABC) is a membership-based, non-profit and non-governmental organization that primarily focuses on developing and strengthening relations between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Armenia.
Our Membership base is comprised mainly of alumni and current students of UK educational institutions. The particular fields of operations of Armenian British Connect NGO are:
- Educational cooperation;
- Culture awareness;
- Financial integration;
- Civil Society Building; and
- Social collaboration.
In order to achieve the goals, in respect to each direction outlined above, we plan and implement diverse projects that contribute to the intensification of UK-Armenian liaisons. For more information regarding the projects being implemented and those that are in their planning stages please see the Projects section of our website. All projects are in line with the NGO’s Mission, Vision and Values.
In order to implement the necessary projects, we have set up a governance system in line with international best experience standards. The General Assembly, being the highest governing body, is comprised of all members of ABC. It is the duty of the General Assembly to elect a Board of Directors that will direct the NGO’s proceedings on a strategic level. The Board of Directors appoints temporary chairmen of the permanent committees of ABC. It is the chairmen of the permanent committees that form the Executive Committee. The permanent committees of the ABC NGO are:
- Finance Committee;
- Legal Committee;
- Marketing & Media Committee;
- HR Committee;
- Event Management Committee; and
- Research Committee.

The works of each of ABC’s bodies are completely transparent, each Board Meeting’s Minutes are made available online (Board of Directors section) as soon as the minutes are signed by the Directors. Moreover, we are committed to having invitees (non-members) take part in the meetings on all levels. Military Service
Amendments to the Government Decree of the RA on granting a deferment from military service to the students admitted to foreign universities will be proposed by ABC's Legal Committee.
Lecture by Tigran at the IISS in London
Therefore we proudly announce that an ABC member, Tigran Mkrtchyan, has been invited to deliver a lecture at the International Institute of Strategic Studies in London on " Normalising Armenian-Turkish Relations: Prospects and Regional Implications".
2009 ABC's Annual Yerevan Birthday Bash
Again ABC's Annual Yerevan Birthday Bash! This time it was held it at the Chameleon Club on 10 October 2009. The live jazz in the beginning, in addition to special "Yerevan Cocktail" created the atmosphere only typical to ABC parties. The jazz and relaxing atmosphere, which gave chance for people to connect, quickly evolved into fabulous dancing party with DJ playing the best hits from all music genres. Pictures.
Doctrinal Review by ABC's Legal Committee
A doctrinal review of selected Armenian judicial decisions shall be performed by the ABC's Legal Committee.
