Welcome to ABC
Armenian British Connect (ABC) is a membership-based, non-profit and non-governmental organization that primarily focuses on developing and strengthening relations between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Armenia.
Our Membership base is comprised mainly of alumni and current students of UK educational institutions. For more information regarding admissions criteria, membership base, etc., please see the Membership section of our website (www.abconnect.am), where you can find the ABC Member Admission Criteria, ABC Membership Application Form, ABC Admission Promise, ABC Member Code of Conduc, ABC Member Rights & Duties and ABC Member Admissions Ceremony Procedure.
The particular fields of operations of Armenian British Connect NGO are:
- Educational cooperation;
- Culture awareness;
- Financial integration;
- Civil Society Building; and
- Social collaboration.
In order to achieve the goals, in respect to each direction outlined above, we plan and implement diverse projects that contribute to the intensification of UK-Armenian liaisons. All projects are in line with the NGO’s Mission, Vision and Values.
In order to implement the necessary projects, we have set up a governance system in line with international best experience standards. The General Assembly, being the highest governing body, is comprised of all members of ABC. It is the duty of the General Assembly to elect a Board of Directors that will direct the NGO’s proceedings on a strategic level. The Board of Directors appoints temporary chairmen of the permanent committees of ABC. It is the chairmen of the permanent committees that form the Executive Committee. The permanent committees of the ABC NGO are:
- Research & Development Committee;
- HR Committee;
- Event Management Committee.

The works of each of ABC’s bodies are completely transparent, each Board Meeting’s Minutes are made available online (Board of Directors section) as soon as the minutes are signed by the Directors. Moreover, we are committed to having invitees (non-members) take part in the meetings on all levels. ABC board official meeting with the Artsakh Republic President Mr Bako Sahakyan
On the 19 April, ABC board headed by chairman of the organization's board Hayk Harutyunyan had the honor to represent the ABC projects and initiatives to the Artsakh President Mr Bako Sahakyan, the Minister of Education and Sciences Mr Vladik Khachatryan, the Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs Ms Narine Aghabalyan and Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Artsakh Republic Ararat Danielyan.
ABC's Second Anniversary!
On 20th of February, ABC celebrated its second anniversary at one of the most stylish and modern venues in Yerevan! This marked "two magnificent years full of achievements and excitement" as the chairman of ABC Hayk Harutyunyan mentioned. Truly, this event was to reconnect all the ABC members and those who are deeply involved in ABC in order to celebrate the joyful event and mark a new year which should be better than the previous two.
